Hiram Clarke Block Walk

Saturday August 12, 2023 from 8:00a-1:00 pm at YMCA West Orem 5801 West Orem Drive Houston, TX 77085, Good Reason Houston will partner with Hiram Clarke Community Resiliency Project, and organizations in the Hiram Clarke community, for our 2nd Annual "Back to School Block Walk!" The event will call for partners and local businesses to bring resources and or materials from their organizations to help us stuff 400 bags to walk from door-to-door. The idea of the event is to bring resources directly to the doors of community members to help families have the smoothest transition back to school!

We would love for your organization to bring any resources that you have that could fill 400 bags and get information and access to families! Come, help us stuff and walk bags! Some of our Audiences: Black and Brown families (as well as other nationalities), English and Spanish speaking families, families who are experiencing health (mental and physical) as well as financial needs, families in need of access to education and quality health care, college and career access and readiness, families who are in need of before, after, and during school programming for their children, special education supports, supports for senior citizens, access to housing and furniture, legal assistance, wealth management, supports for senior citizens, civic involvement, religious and community connections, and more!
